Today I'd like to talk about a stage talk that I did last week and I wanna help other people get ready for their stage talks too.

That's a great [00:02:00] idea, Jesse! Sharing your experience and insights from your recent stage talk can be super helpful for others who are preparing for their own presentations. What specifically would you like to focus on? Is there anything that really stood out to you or that you feel like others might struggle with?

So I noticed myself getting very nervous before I got up on stage, and I'm sure others experience the same thing too.

That's totally normal, Jesse! Stage fright is a common experience for many people, even those who are used to public speaking. It's natural to feel nervous before stepping on stage. The key is learning how to manage those nerves so they don't interfere with your performance. Did you find any techniques or strategies that helped you manage your stage fright before your talk?

I've noticed doing some breathing exercises and even a little bit of exercise just before the talk helped out.

That's great, Jesse! Breathing exercises and physical activity [00:03:00] can definitely help calm your nerves and boost your confidence before a public speaking engagement. Some other techniques that might help include:

1. Visualization: Imagine yourself succeeding and delivering an amazing talk before you even step on stage.

2. Rehearse: Practice your talk as much as possible to build confidence and reduce anxiety.

3. Mindfulness: Focus on the present moment and notice your surroundings to help calm your mind.

4. Power posing: Stand in a confident posture (think Superman or Wonder Woman) to increase feelings of confidence and assertiveness.

Those are some great strategies. I wish I would have known that to begin with.

It's all part of the learning process, Jesse! The more you prepare and practice, the better equipped you'll be to handle those pre-stage jitters. And remember, even seasoned speakers still experience nerves from time to time. It just shows that you care about delivering a great performance! 😊
